Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said it’s “reasonable” that over time interest rates have normalised.

The RBA raised the interest rate from 0.25 to 0.35% today, and the Treasurer told Jim Wilson that Australians need to look at the “broader context”.

“These are serious economic times, it’s not a time to change course,” he said.

“It’s not a time to risk Australia’s economic future with an unproven leader of the Labor party who can’t even tell you what the cash rate is.”
