Outgoing Deputy Premier John Barilaro has given Dominic Perrottet a resounding endorsement to become the next Premier of NSW.

The current Treasurer is all but guaranteed to be elected the new leader of the NSW Liberals, and therefore the new Premier, however fellow MP Rob Stokes remains in the running.

Mr Barilaro, who this morning joined a growing list of politicians resigning from parliament, told Jim Wilson Mr Perrottet will make an “incredible” leader.

“He’s got all the ingredients.

“My greatest regret today is there isn’t a Perrottet-Barilaro government – I would’ve loved it.”
