A financial assistance package is expected to be handed out to aid small business owners on Sunday but the federal government is refusing to help.

Despite pressures from the New South Wales and Victorian government, Scott Morrison has not budged about granting small and medium-sized businesses support.

2GB Drive host Jim Wilson has been told there is a battle at the table if the federal government will get involved.

Not agreeing with their stance Jim says,  “I tell you something… it’s a free-kick for Anthony Albanese and Labor and they’ll pounce on this.”
