Melbourne’s third straight day of tradie protests has seen anti-lockdown and anti-vaccine rioters choose the city’s ANZAC memorial as the site for their showdown with police.

Jim Wilson lashed the “moronic” protesters for not only defying health orders and risking creating a super-spreader event, but disrespecting a sacred place.

“It’s the behaviour of thugs, of people who should be locked up.

“If some foolish extremist doesn’t want the jab, well good luck with that, but … if a tradie or construction worker doesn’t want to be vaccinated I’m sorry, but right now you shouldn’t be allowed to work.

“These violent protests [are] an insult to the thousands of tradies who are doing the right thing.”
