Champion boxer Jeff Horn is just over a month out from his next fight, and it’s one that has Australia talking.

After taking on arguably the world’s best pound for pound boxer, Terrence Crawford, Horn has decided to fight Anthony Mundine.

Alan Jones was supposed to launch the fight in Brisbane on Wednesday but couldn’t fly due to severe storms in south-east Queensland.

He spoke with Jeff Horn over the phone instead, asking why he agreed to fight 43-year-old Mundine.

“We were chasing the fight with Mundine years back and he didn’t want a piece of it but now, for the last year or two, he’s been chasing then fight with me.

“A lot of people don’t want to see this fight but a lot of people do want to see me beat him up as well.”

Mundine will be fined $350,000 if he’s over the 71kg weight limit and another $500,000 for every kilo after that.

Jeff explains why they insisted on including such huge penalties in the fight contract.
