Wests Tigers fans should be on high alert after skipper Jarome Luai was spotted in Port Moresby.

The sighting immediately sparked links to the new Papa New Guinea franchise.

The signing would be a massive get for the 2028 newcomers, but would undoubtedly leave a huge hole in the Tigers lineup as they continue their rebuild.

Despite being contracted to the Tigers until the end of the 2028 season, Luai has a yearly option in his favor.  It is expected that he will stay with his current club for another year before switching to PNG.

“It’s a big call for Luai individually,” Mathew Thompson told The Continuous Call Team.
