The Government is facing calls to take more serious action against Iran after the ASIO’s annual threat assessment designated Iran as a serious threat.

Shadow Education Minister Julian Leeser has told 2GB Afternoons it’s time for the Australian Government to take the toughest stance possible.

“We need a foreign policy based on two fundamental ideas, that we stand for our values … and we stand with our friends like America and Israel,” he said.
