‘It’s getting scary’: Truck driver under pressure to keep up with rising costs

Small business owners across the country are struggling to keep up with skyrocketing cost-of-living issues.

Latest data shows inflation has risen to 7.3 per cent for the year to September.

The federal budget predicts the rate will rise even further, mainly as a result of higher energy costs.

Ryan Acers is a truck driver from Facility Management Solutions. He told Jim Wilson the costs he is facing are through the roof.

“It’s getting really tough. Australia is supposed to be the lucky country, but it’s just so unaffordable.

“Nobody has any answers, it’s getting scary and will only get worse.
