Farmers battered by drought are welcoming wet weather.

Walgett Farmer Jamie Warden has sent Ben Fordham a video of crop dusters spraying his chickpea crop.

After eight dry years, Jamie says this is a crucial year.

“It’s probably one of the best seasons we’ve had in a long time.

“It’s all systems go at Walgett.”
