Nine News Australian Open correspondent John Millman has weighed in on a controversial grunt call last night involving Aryna Sabalenka.

Speaking to Adam Hawse on 2GB Wide World of Sports Millman provided insight into why the call was made.

“What the drama was there is that she made a double noise, and the umpire judged it wasn’t natural, not her normal grunt,” she said.

He also says there’s been plenty of drama as Carlos Alcaraz faces off against Alexander Zverev in the first men’s semi-final.
