A Liberal senator has condemned the launch of a test nuclear-capable weapon by China within hours of Australia signing a security pact with Fiji.

Speaking to 2GB Afternoons, Dave Sharma says China needs to provide answers.

“I also think we need to be working closely with our Pacific allies and neighbours … who would have the same level of concern or a higher concern,” he said.
