Ray Hadley has hit out against Finance Minister Katy Gallagher’s explanations regarding her invitation to David Sharaz’s wedding.

During a parliamentary session, the Finance Minister faced inquiries about her connection to Brittany Higgins’s fiance, Mr Sharaz.

She expressed her belief that she held the position of Chief Minister during that period and had a business association with him as a radio journalist.

Ray Hadley challenged this statement, saying: “Well, the only problem with that is that she was Chief Minister from 2011 to 2014… David Sharaz’s first wedding took place in March of 2018, 3.5 years after she left the chief minister’s role in Canberra.”

He continued, “It’ll be a bit strange for someone who you haven’t seen for 3.5 years to invite you to their wedding”.
