Industry veteran Trevor St Baker has expressed interest as a potential buyer of AGL Energy’s Liddell coal plant in NSW as it prepares to close in a few years.

The government has announced a commonwealth-led taskforce to consider extending the life of the coal plant or looking to replace its baseload supply for the state.

Alinta Energy and Delta Energy, run by Trevor St Baker, have expressed interest in the plant.

Mr St Baker discusses with Ross Greenwood the state of the energy sector.
