Former Liberal minister Christopher Pyne has weighed into the federal election debate.

Opposition leader Anthony Albanese is set to rejoin the election campaign trail as he exits COVID isolation.

Mr Pyne told Ben Fordham Labor needs a stronger campaign to win government.

“I’m not exactly sure what the Labor party’s line is about why the government should be changed.

“The government should be out for the count, they’ve had a pretty difficult two years, but they’re not.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if people vote for the devil they know rather than the devil they don’t.”
