Ted O’Brien is a man who knows Clive Palmer and his tactics better than most.

The Liberal Member for Fairfax lost the 2013 election to Palmer by 53 votes but won in 2016.

He tells Ross Greenwood Palmer’s re-vamped political party holds no future.

“It’ll go the same way as it’s predecessors, its a matter of when.

“It’s a bit of an oxymoron, United Party and Clive Palmer, they don’t really go together.

“I feel desperately, desperately sorry for Senator Burston. I don’t know what’s going on there. I’m sure he will live to regret the day as most people do who come across Clive.”
