Ray Hadley was in awe of the performance, predicting huge things in Mr Cowboy 62’s future.

“In a few years from now, I’m going to say that young bloke played on my program before anything else happened,” says Ray.

“That was brilliant and, you know what, I didn’t know what to expect. I’m overwhelmed by your talent.”

Sam was extremely nervous to be interviewed, preferring to let his music do the talking.

But he was happy to tell Ray Hadley how he went away from traditional Samoan music and got into the country scene.
