David Warner says he’s excited to lead the Sydney Thunder and thankful for the ability to appeal the leadership ban placed on him by Cricket Australia following sandpaper gate.

He says he had given up hope he could appeal and was frustrated Cricket Australia’s policy had originally prevented an appeal.
