‘I’ll take that as a YES’: Jacinta Price to be Indigenous Shadow Minister?

Jacinta Price

Liberal Party Senator for the Northern Territory, Jacinta Nampijinpa Price, has been in discussions with Opposition Leader Peter Dutton about becoming the Coalition’s Indigenous Australians spokesperson.

When asked by Michael McLaren if she would accept the role as Shadow Minister, Senator Price said, “It’s certainly something to consider”, to which Michael responded, “I’ll take that as a yes”.

Senator Price also shed some light on the crimes in Alice Springs, saying that citizens are “constantly vigilant”.

“Many of these kids have experienced a lot of trauma in their lives and have been left in disfunction,” she told Michael.

In regards to the Indigenous Voice to parliament, Senator Price suggested that the Federal Government is not facing up to their responsibilities.
