There are calls for clarity around vaccination for COVID positive Australians.

ATAGI recommends those who have recovered from COVID-19 wait six months to get vaccinated.

However Victorian health authorities have advised people to receive a COVID jab as soon as they have recovered from the virus.

Infectious diseases expert Professor Nigel McMillan told Chris Smith “there’s a bit of wiggle room”.

“I think ATAGI probably needs to really clarify things.

“The concern there is you might be in danger of having a shock to your immune system … you might have more reactions than you otherwise would.”
