The legendary Landsdown Hotel will be officially closing down in April after its operators have decided not to renew the lease.

It was known for its incredible live music and atmosphere and it will now be turned into hostel accommodation.

Aussie music legend Richard Clapton has told Jim Wilson, “It’s just devastating”.

“It was a very cool venue.”

Due to COVID restrictions, there are fears more venus could close down and Mr Clapton said, “it would be terrible for the fans”.
