‘I won’t be changing’: Ben Fordham hits back against Guardian ‘spray’

Ben Fordham has delivered a passionate defence of his campaign to support farmers after he was criticised in The Guardian.

For months, Ben campaigned on behalf of farmers who were prosecuted under laws that forbid them from clearing their own land.

It resulted in the NSW government announcing a reprieve for anyone currently being investigated under the old land clearing laws.

Over two months after the decision was announced, an article was published today accusing Ben of one-sided reporting, arguing the farmers may not be the real victims.

But Ben says he has a message for The Guardian.

“Understand when there’s a battle between Greenies in the big smoke and farmers in the bush, I’ll be backing the farmers, and any criticism I get for that I wear as a badge of honour.

“I will campaign for anyone who deserves our support and I won’t be changing my approach one single bit.

“If you think I’ve done something wrong, keep writing about it all you want and I’ll keep on going in to bat for those in the bush.”
