Australian cricketing great Glenn McGrath believes the Aussies can win the first Test against India.

Play gets underway at the Adelaide Oval today with the visitors firm favourites to win the match and the series.

The Aussie bowlers are facing a heavy workload with all-rounder Mitch Marsh dropped to 12th man.

Former pace bowler and Macquarie Sports Radio commentator Glenn McGrath tells Alan Jones our attack is the best in the world.

But he admits they’ve got plenty of work to do.

“They don’t have a great deal of bowling support.

“Those guys, I think, are good enough to do it. They’ve shown it before.

“And on this pitch out here, Nathan Lyon loves bowling in Adelaide.

“I think they’ve got the team.”
