‘I think he’s right on cue’: Danny Green slams Anthony Mundine’s shun of the Australian Anthem

Danny Green says it’s not a surprise Anthony Mundine has said white players in the NSW Blues should boycott singing the Australian Anthem.

Two Blues players, Cody Walker and Josh Addo-Carr, have announced they won’t sing the anthem at the State of Origin, saying it should be updated to include Australia’s first peoples.

Indigenous players have previously boycotted the anthem, with the Indigenous All Stars team refusing to sing it in February.

He had once before said he would boycott the anthem during his boxing match with rival Danny Green in 2017.

Australian boxer Danny Green tells Ben Fordham it’s not surprising.

“It’s been a while since anyone said anything about him and I think he’s right on cue.

“When are you going to come up with a solution other than just jumping up and down?”
