Cronulla legend Paul Gallen has revealed he still stands by his club after the alleged doping scandal of 2011.

In the words of Alan Jones, “if this guy isn’t a legend of rugby league, no one is.”

The former NSW State of Origin and Cronulla Sharks captain sat down with Alan to talk about his new biography Heart and Soul, where he discusses everything from his difficult childhood to the 2011 Cronulla Sharks supplements scandal.

He tells Alan he still stands by his own actions after all these years.

Mr Gallen also reveals the scrutiny on the club and on himself was incredibly difficult to bear.

He says he was especially concerned for certain players on his team, who he was worried might self-harm.
