Minister for Government Services & for the NDIS Bill Shorten and Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor clashed on the Voice during their regular Question Time head-to-head.

Mr Taylor said that not restricting the voice to Indigenous Affairs creates a heightened risk for lawmakers. He said there are “real concerns” about the scope of the Voice.

When asked if those who question the Voice are racist, Mr Shorten asked why some people who are concerned about the proposal think that now isn’t the right time.

He told Deborah Knight that he’s not as pessimistic about the outcome of the Voice referendum as others in the media, saying he believes many Australians are yet to actually engage with the proposal.
