Jason Falinski is fed up that the Wakehurst Parkway seems to always cause major headaches when rain turns into flooding.

Northern Beaches Council last night announced that work and planning are set to begin to reduce the flooding problem.

However, it is expected it could be as long as 18 months before the first phase of the flood mitigation project is completed between Oxford Falls and North Narrabeen.

The Federal Member for Mackellar told Jim Wilson, “It’s not a contentious issue”.

“Major artillery roads in Sydney should not be blocked by rain!”

“Is it that our politics have become so difficult that we can’t now do the obvious things?”
