‘I get so frustrated’: Health Minister’s plea amid COVID wave
The NSW Health Minister is pleading with residents to get vaccinated as health staff deal with the COVID outbreak.
Data on hospital capacity shows the health system is in a better position than expected in best case scenario modelling.
There are currently 2,525 people in hospital with the virus, including 184 in ICU.
NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard told Chris O’Keefe almost 6000 staff aren’t at work due to the COVID outbreak.
“The staff are exhausted.
“I get so frustrated on behalf of all the doctors, nurses, paramedics … I just people would take the opportunity to go and get vaccinated.”
