Retiring NSW government minister Brad Hazzard has called out the independents vying to win seats from Liberals.

The NSW government is trying to fend off the ‘teal’ movement that helped the Coalition lose the federal election earlier this year.

Brad Hazzard told Joe Hildebrand that although his political views are similar to many of the candidates, he doesn’t understand what they are playing at.

“Why do these people think it’s OK to go after people who have similar views?

“I think the only reason is to destroy the Liberal Party. They’re basically a front for Labor.”
