Article image for ‘I couldn’t care less’: Energy Minister dismisses leaked text messages

The Minister for Energy has denied being involved in the alleged leaked texts defaming Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

When asked if he had been sending any text messages behind his colleagues’ back Minister Taylor replied: “No I haven’t”.

Angus Taylor told Mark Levy, “I couldn’t care less who sent a text from years ago in a completely different context”.

“I think we need to focus on securing Australia’s energy needs.

“They’re the issues that Australians care about,” he said.

Labor Politician Joel Fitzgibbon thinks the texting saga will shape electorates viewpoints saying, “It’s reinforced in their minds their own assessment of our Prime Minister”.

Stating the claims made against Scott Morrison are ‘pretty extraordinary’ Mr Fitzgibbon said the Prime Minister “refuses to apologize for any mistakes along the way and continues to take such a complacent approach”.
