Kurri Kurri in the Hunter Valley will hold a Mullet Festival next Saturday.

Yes, a celebration of the 80s hairstyle, in 2018.

“Better late than never!” says organiser Laura Hawkins.

Kurri Kurri is the perfect place for this hairy exhibition because residents believe the mullet originates from their town.

Ben Fordham got behind the idea, saying it sounds like the Great Australian Festival.
