Police are appealing for information after 300,000 litres of water was stolen from a property in the Central Tablelands on Sunday.

The property owner from Evans Plains, approximately 10km south-west of Bathurst, reported the enormous quantity missing from two tanks on his property.

A similar theft occurred on the Far North Coast last week, in which 25,000L was stolen from a council facility.

Anyone with information, including dashcam footage from the area, is urged to contact Bathurst Police Station on 6332 8699 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
