Hoyne is turning Sydney’s dead zones into exciting new hubs

Joe Hildebrand

Founder of Hoyne marketing agency, Andrew Hoyne, is working hard with his team to improve some of Sydney’s wasted spaces by making them into rooftop bars, cafes and more.

In his upcoming book called The Place Economy (volume 3), Hoyne explores the projects his team has worked on and details some new fixer-upper locations.

Hoyne is working to develop the “eyesore without a purpose” that is Darling Park, envisioning the space as a micro-brewery perched above the freeway.

“There are hundreds of examples like the Goulburn Street Car Park that looks like the most depressing place in the city,” Hoyne told Joe Hildebrand.

“It could be so much more.”
