Stopovers are probably the worst part about travelling.

On his way to and from Europe for his overseas broadcast, Chris Smith had a 50-minute stopover in Singapore, but in London, it was a nine-hour wait.

“That was a different kettle of fish altogether,” he says.

Justin Jamieson from Get Lost Travel Magazine tells Chris stopovers can be the highlight of a trip, if they’re done right.

“Singapore airport is probably one of the best airports in the world to spend a long period of time.”

He tells Chris he was in Abu Dhabi for three days during a stopover and he took the time to make a real experience out of it.

“I have come back complete blow away.”
