The annual Long Walk Home aims to raise awareness for homeless people.

On average a person experiencing homelessness walks about 28km every week to access vital support services and to find a safe place to sleep.

The walk shows people sleeping on and around our streets that they’re not alone, whilst also raising funds for Wayside Chapel.

On the evening of Friday 7th October individuals will take take the Long Walk Home from Parramatta to Kings Cross.

Reverend Jon Owen told Joe Hildebrand now more than ever is an important time to get involved as the cost of living rises.
