Fashion fans now have a new way to save money on designer goods with the rise of re-commerce. 

A number of online platforms now provide second-hand boutique fashion and accessories, saving customers bucketloads.

With the fashion industry being a huge producer of both carbon and waste, re-commerce can also help the planet.

Miranda Gillespie is the Founder of the second hand boutique fashion site Luxe.It.Fwd, she joined Deborah Knight on Afternoons to talk about the the benefits of re-commerce.

“The fashion industry is responsible for about a tenth of the world’s carbon emissions and a lot of that production is really unnecessary,” she said.

“Re-commerce has become a lot more mainstream, people want quality items but they can’s always afford them.”
