Melbourne Storm Chairman, Matt Tripp, has announced that Nelson Asofa-Solomona will be staying with the team for four more years, amidst rumours of Rugby Union attempting to poach league players.

Tripp expressed his relief in keeping Asofa-Solomona in the league, saying “I won’t say I was 100% confident over the course of the journey of the negotiations… but I’m glad we got there in the end.”

Additionally, he shared his thoughts on scheduling player signings outside the season to reduce distractions and improve the game.
