Australian-grown star soprano Anna O’Byrne has revealed what inspired her to play the role of Eliza Doolittle in ‘Becoming Eliza‘.

Anna O’Byrne was handpicked by Dame Julie Andrews to play Eliza and takes viewers on a heartfelt journey through song of Dame Andrews’s relationship with the iconic My Fair Lady character.

O’Byrne told Deborah Knight playing Eliza Doolittle “changed her”.

“She made me more determined to speak my mind.

“Sadly her story is still relevant, it still speaks to us, so it’s important to keep talking about it.”
