The inquiry into missing fraudster Melissa Caddick has heard she contacted a document-shredding company before her home was raided.

Investigate journalist with the Sydney Morning Herald Kate McClymont, who’s hit podcast Liar Liar focused on Caddick’s schemes, told Jim Wilson the evidence goes against the version of events put forward by Caddick’s family.

“Right at the end of today’s proceedings, we heard that Melissa Caddick’s brother Adam Grimley in June last year, he actually said to Isabella Allen from ASIC ‘how do you feel being responsible for Melissa’s death?’ Which is pretty strong stuff,” Kate McClymont said.

“And the investigator said that ‘I am not responsible’.”
