Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been in Fiji for bilateral talks and also some sport diplomacy.

During last night’s Prime Minister’s XIII match, he made a cameo appearance on the field, which made many players do a double take.

He took on the role of water boy!

Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga spoke with Erin Molan and Natalie Peters about the Prime Minister’s performance, saying there’s room for improvement.

“It’s like a crawl before you walk type scenario for the PM”.

While there were plenty of Rugby League fans cheering in the crowd, the Prime Minister’s XIII match is about more than just the sport – it’s about reaffirming the close relationship between Fiji and Australia.
