How brides can be NSW’s secret weapon for mass vaccination

Article image for How brides can be NSW’s secret weapon for mass vaccination

A restriction under the NSW roadmap allowing only 50 guests at weddings is expected to be ‘tweaked’ amid anger from the industry.

Doltone House Group Chairman Paul Signorelli told Ben Fordham the capacity limit will cause “a lot of pain and suffering”, and he wants to see the rationale behind it.

“Purpose-built venues, like myself at Doltone House and like others, we’re designed specifically to host large celebrations.

“We just want a fair go.”

He pointed out the promise of attending a once-in-a-lifetime event could spur far larger numbers to get vaccinated.

“You tell a bride today that … you can have your dream wedding on the provision that everyone’s vaccinated – both staff and her family – she will drive that jab to every single family member.”
