Houses make things hotter: Why the future is in high rise buildings

New research suggests the future of housing is in high rise towers, expected to bring down the price of homes.

65 storey high rise buildings with large parks around them were found to be the most sustainable.

Urban Studies expert Associate Professor Sebastian Pfautsch told Chris Smith low rise homes make things hotter.

“You’re covering much more of the ground area with hard surfaces, they store energy and reradiate that as heat into your low atmosphere making it hotter.”
