About 15,000 non-medical hospital staff and some paramedics will walk off the job today.

Hospitals remain open but some services could be impacted throughout the day.

Health Services Union Secretary Gerard Hayes told Ben Fordham public sector workers deserve a pay rise.

“If we get movement in NSW Health that will flow onto the private sector.”
