Michael McLaren has called out Matt Kean for failing to provide Australians with details on how much land will be needed to meet Australia’s emissions targets, especially given that land acquisition will affect farmers.

The 2GB and 4BC Afternoons host has pointed out that the work should have been done and questioned why Kean doesn’t have the information on hand.

“The whole thing is a mess, which looked so convincing on paper, but is struggling to deliver when transferred to the real world,” he said.

“If those who are making the big calls get hoodwinked by ideologues and catastrophists, then we risk doing more damage to the prosperity of Australians than many are willing to imagine,” he added.
