Holiday traffic headache: Heavy delays hit Sydney drivers

Michael McLaren

There are heavy delays on the major motorways out of Sydney, as motorists hit the road for the holidays.

A multi-vehicle crash at Tuggerah has been cleared but there are still heavy delays on the M1 Pacific Motorway.

Traffic on the motorway is banked back to the M2 at Pennant Hills, with cars and caravans taking the off-ramp at Pennant Hills road banked back to Baulkham Hills.

There are also delays southbound on the Princes Highway.

The Transport Management Centre’s John Pearson is urging motorists to allow extra travel time and drive to the conditions.
