Rugby league great Paul Gallen has backed Reed Mahoney to continue being himself, declaring that the Bulldogs hooker’s on-field antics are proving to be a winning recipe for Canterbury.

“He’s winning games. He got a former origin front-rower, a great player, sent from the field for 10 minutes because he couldn’t handle it,” Gallen said.
