NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard has intervened after Ben Fordham Live raised a hospital rule keeping a family apart.

93-year-old Eric is being treated at Ryde Hospital but is only allowed to have the same two people visit during their entire stay.

Shane wants his newborn daughter to meet her great-grandfather Eric, but has been prevented from doing so.

After speaking to Ben Fordham on-air yesterday, Shane will now take his daughter to meet Eric.

Shane told Ben the Minister got in touch with him.

“His main point was family needs to see people in hospital, full stop.”
