The legendary Australian comedian, Barry Humphries, passed away at age 89 on Saturday, and many of his friends have paid tribute to him and his loveable characters.

Aussie TV personality Kerri-Anne Kennerley told Ben Fordham that Barry Humphries would have been “cancelled pretty quickly” in 2023, because of his controversial characters.

“It was a time and an era. He made people laugh…and he was such a brilliant mind,” said Kerri-Anne.

Journalist and TV personality, Ray Martin, said that Barry was the “greatest living Australian over the past decades”.

“Over 40 years, he grew with Australia and was switched on to modern trends,” said Ray.
