Ben Fordham is questioning the damage Scott Morrison’s backdown on climate policy may have done to his re-election prospects.

The Prime Minister went to Glasgow in October to join 130 countries in committing to Net Zero Emissions by 2050.

Mr Morrison had previously stood firm on his own timeline before “giving in” on the world stage.

“The Prime Minister’s point of difference has vanished.

“Elections have been won and lost on this issue.

“When Scott Morrison was pushed into a corner, he should have fought back.”
