‘He has to go’: Labor Leader calls out Transport Minister

Clinton Maynard

NSW Labor Leader Chris Minns has said Transport Minister David Elliot “has to go”.

It has been revealed that senior NSW government bureaucrats were discussing the potential for a two-week shutdown of NSW’s passenger train network.

The plan was to come in place as early as next week.

Documents revealed how the Rail, Tram and Bus Union notified the government of their plans for Industrial action.

Criticising the Transport Ministers handling of the situation Chris Minns told Jim Wilson “In that set of circumstances it means his department is completely out of control”.

“It’s just a situation that’s completely off the rails.

“I think it’s outrageous.”
