Neurosurgeons and grateful families alike are throwing their support behind embattled Charlie Teo.

Thirty neurosurgeons have voiced their support for Dr Teo after he was prevented from performing certain operations until he obtains written approval from a fellow neurosurgeon.

Michelle Long told Ben Fordham Dr Charlie Teo operated on her late brother – diagnosed with a brain tumour –  five times, extending his life by 14 years.

But the neurosurgeon is now weighing up the future of his career.

“He gave us hope.

“There’s no way that any other surgeon would have taken on my brother five times.

“My kids would not have met my brother had he not given us those extra years.”
